Called Meeting Minutes


The Winterville City Council held a Called Meeting Thursday, March 2, 2023 at

Winterville City Hall 5:30 p.m. to vote to amend the 2022 budget.


Mayor Ferrelle called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Also in attendance were

Amanda Mooney, Bruce Johnson, Melissa Metzger, Timothy Pierce-Tomlin and

Municipal Clerk Wendy Bond.


Mayor Ferrelle read aloud a resolution to be adopted amending the 2022 Budget.

Councilperson Metzger moved to adopt the resolution as presented below. The motion

was seconded by Councilperson Pierce-Tomlin and adopted unanimously.

No other business was discussed.


Councilperson Pierce-Tomlin moved to adjourn, seconded by Metzger and adjourned

unanimously at 5:38 p.m.


RESOLUTION NO. 2023-03-02


A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OR THE CITY OF

WINTERVILLE, GEORGIA, AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE

FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2022 AND ENDING

DECEMBER 31, 2022, PROVIDING FOR A BUDGET AMENDMENT

WHEREAS: The City of Winterville, Georgia has determined that the budget for 2022

should be amended; and

WHEREAS: The Georgia Statutes, Section 36-81-3 requires the governing body

amend the budgets in the same manner as the original budget is adopted; and

WHEREAS: The City Council adopted the final budget for fiscal year 2022 through

resolution on November 9, 2021.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF WINTERVILLE, GEORGIA, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That the Budget for the City of Winterville, Georgia and Fiscal

Year 2022 is hereby amended to $433,305 General Government and $273,651 Culture,

Parks and Recreation.

SECTION 2: Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect upon final

passage and adoption.
