"Officer Thomas showed decisive action responding to the call and acting promptly to aid in saving the life of an unresponsive citizen" said Winterville's Mayor Dodd Ferrelle as he presented Sergeant Ryan Thomas with a Letter of Commendation during Tuesday evening's October City Council meeting.

Mayor Dodd continued, "We are proud of our Winterville Police Department, very proud to have officers of Officer Ryan's caliber. Thank you for all you do on behalf of the citizens of Winterville and beyond."
