Mayor Ferrelle opened the public hearing at 6:00 p.m. Also present were Councilpersons Melissa Metzger, Amanda Mooney, Bruce Johnson and City Clerk Wendy Bond.
In accordance with the requirements of O.C.G.A. 36-66-1 the ‘Zoning Procedures Law’, the Mayor and Council of the City of Winterville, Georgia held a Public Hearing on Tuesday June 6, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Winterville City Hall, 125 N Church Street, in Winterville. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to receive public input for the rezoning of property located at 145 Cherokee Road, County Parcel # 283 A4 F015 from C-1 to C-PD (Commercial - Planned Development) and 485 N Main Street 283A4 F012 from R-15H to C-PD (Commercial - Planned Development).
All interested parties wishing to address the Mayor and City Council about the proposed amendment were required to sign up to speak in advance of the hearing.
Josh Koons, Koons Environmental Design gave an overview of the changes made to meet zoning requirements and requests.
Having no public sign up to speak Mayor Ferrelle closed the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
